Bringing a Little Colour to Civic Square Tilbury

Today we were proud to put out 30 flags in Tilbury Civic Square. Tilbury has been long neglected by Thurrock Council, but UKIP Councillors are starting to make a difference in Thurrock. Tim Aker MEP and Councillor for Aveley and Uplands asked us if we could supply 30 (5' x 3') flags for them to put on the lamp posts in Civic Square.

Not only did we supply the flags we also arranged to hang them. Actual Support Services Ltd, kindly donated the use of their Cherry Picker for the day, and one of their staff, a local Aveley man volunteered to do the hard work.

Dennis Mason, Stan Capes and Eddie Stringer from the charity also gave up their Sunday Morning to carry out the task. The look of pure excitement on Tim Aker's face when he arrived to see the work progressing was amazing. During our 4 hours in the square we met many residents asking what we were doing and why. We explained that this was something organised by UKIP and that as a charity we supplied the flags and the equipment so not a single penny of Tax Payers money was being spent to brighten their local Square. Everyone we spoke to loved what we had done and all said they would willingly have paid to have it done. Hopefully as a local charity we will be involved in more of this work in your town very soon
